| Current Proposed Natural Gas Pipelines For nearly a decade, Yukon Pacific has solicited participation from the conservation community. Yukon Pacific wanted comments early in the project, before design and alignment changes became prohibitive. Therefore, the company invited conservationists to participate in project activities on an ongoing basis. Yukon Pacific offered to fund the Environmental Review Committee through the Alaska Conservation Foundation. Recognizing the significance of having an opportunity to establish communications with a major developer, the Alaska Conservation Foundation and other members of the environmental community accepted Yukon Pacific's offer. The TAGS Environmental Review Committee (ERC) continues to work with Yukon Pacific to make the TAGS project as environmentally compatible as possible. The Environmental Review Committee's goal is to minimize environmental impacts and protect public and worker health and safety for the lifetimes of the gas export project.
